Wrapping up

Greetings, intrepid soldiers! If you managed to stick with us on Thanksgiving, we applaud you! (Not least because we clearly couldn’t keep up with ourselves at the end there, as evidenced by the photo.)

Your Chefs

It was a long and manic haul, but all the hard work really paid off; we had 20 guests, a 16-hour playlist, and a whole lot of ridiculously delicious food. I know it’s sometimes hard to get a sense of what an event like this encompasses when you’re learning it all piecemeal. So, here’s a quick list of the final menu that Biscuit and I made:

Bloody Mary Bombs
Thai Peanut Maki
Mozzarella-stuffed Meatballs
Manchego-stuffed Dates Wrapped in Mascarpone
Cheddar-stuffed mushrooms

Herb turkey with shallot pan gravy
Sweet Potato Casserole with Homemade Marshmallows
Sourdough Stuffing
Mashed Potatoes with Roasted Garlic, Mascarpone and Vermouth
Bourbon Cranberry Sauce
Potatoes Dauphinara
Ham and Endive Gratin
Cheddar-apple Gratin
Prosciutto-artichoke Gratin
Roasted Brussels Sprouts

40-proof pumpkin pie
Caramel apple pie
Tres Leches Bread Pudding
Chocolate Mousse

I’m sure you can understand why both of us were quite unable to leave the safety of our beds on Friday; we were kind of exhausted out of our minds! Over the next couple of days, we plan to properly wrap this business up–add some photos and finish writing all the requisite recipes. Keep checking back as we update all the links in the list. In the meantime, we wish the happiest of holidays to you and yours, and hope your post-prandial coma made you as happy as ours did us.

We’re thankful for every one of you.

With love and dairy,
Shiv and Biscuit
